Carol grew up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. She gained a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biochemistry and Microbiology, from Sydney University, then pursued a career in information technology. It was the 1980s, a thrilling time to be in the industry.
After that, Carol established a marketing services company, and worked as a freelance business writer and, following her dreams, on personal writing projects.
In parallel, she returned to school, this time the University of New South Wales, completed a Master of Arts in Theatre then a PhD, lectured and tutored.
